It’s the season of giving, and HUMMER owners and organizations are giving back to their local communities in a variety of ways. Below the jump you will find just some of the initiatives of a HUMMER community near you.

Texas

Organization: USO – United Through Reading
How you can help: Drop off new books for children to Sewell HUMMER of Dallas between now and noon on December 24th. On Christmas Eve, a parade of HUMMERs will make the book delivery to the USO reading rooms at DFW airport. Cash donations are also accepted, and will be used to purchase more books.
Not in town and still want to help? Stop by any Barnes & Noble store nationwide on December 12th and use voucher # 10104743, and a portion of your total will be donated to the USO.

Organization: Toys for Tots
How you can help: Collect new, unwrapped toys and bring them to Classic HUMMER before Saturday, December 12th. Then, join the HUMMER convoy from Classic at 11:00 AM on the 12th to deliver the toys.

Organization: Toys for Tots
How you can help: Collect new, unwrapped toys (appropriate for ages 10-17) and bring them to Tustin HUMMER before Saturday, December 12th. Then, join the HUMMER parade from Tustin on the 12th to deliver the toys to Camp Pendleton. Please RSVP if you plan to attend the parade.
This will be the 5th year Tustin has helped with the program, and last year collected $4,000 in cash donations in addition to toys.

Organization: Toys for Tots
How you can help: Collect new, unwrapped toys and bring them to the Cottonwood Chili’s between noon and 1 on Sunday, December 13th. Also, the 4×4 clubs will have a one hour trail ride that morning at 10AM.
