HUMMER to Showcase Three Custom Trucks at 2008 SEMA Show

Unfortunately, this will be the first time in years that we haven’t been able to attend the SEMA show in person. For those of you not familiar, the SEMA show is the automotive after-market’s largest exhibition that takes place in Las Vegas and showcases the latest and greatest in vehicle customization. HUMMER will be showcasing three custom vehicles at the 2008 show in the General Motors booth.

“HUMMER has always been about unmatched capability and that’s exactly what these concept vehicles deliver,” said James Taylor, HUMMER’s newly appointed CEO. “More importantly, they are based in reality with mostly bolt-on components attainable by any enthusiast who wants them. In other words, they are more than concepts, they’re thought starters for enthusiasts who want to express themselves via their H3 or H3T.” Check uot more photos and info after the jump.

The first is the “H3T Weekend Warrior,” which has some extra performance under the hood and the suspension thanks to HUMMER’s off-road engineers who also assist with Rod Hall Racing and Team HUMMER.

The H3T started life as an Alpha model, with engineers adding almost 70 horsepower with parts available from GM’s performance division like LS2 cylinder heads and a higher-lift camshaft. GM’s performance exhaust system was also added. A little less horsepower than last year’s 500+ horsepowerH3R concept, but certainly more attainable for the average Joe.

The tires are 35-inch BF Goodrich Baja tires on 20-inch HUMMER accessory wheels, and the suspension uses some Rod Hall Racing performance shocks.

The finishing touch is the Baja Orange Metallic custom paint with matching interior accents, and the traditional chrome handles, mirrors, and fuel door have a satin-metal finish.

The next vehicle on display is the ‘Canyon Metallic’ painted H3X concept. The H3X will have several factory options, as well as 18inch custom-finish wheels, 35inch tires, black chrome finishes on some exterior chrome components, body-color rear bumper extensions, and clear turn signals.

The final vehicle in the HUMMER mix is Four Wheeler’s Project Trailhugger H3. You may have been keeping up with the build process via HummerGuy.net, and now you can see it in person. The de-glossed Alpha model H3.
