The HUMMER brand proved to be a formidable opponent against tough economic times in Australia last month. In March, Aussie HUMMER sales were the highest they’ve been in 12 months.
Overall automotive sales in Australia were down 17.1% in March, and SUV sales were down 18.6% compared to March 2008. “Despite the challenges being faced with the declining market, these results show the strength of the HUMMER brand amongst consumers,” said Parveen Batsh, Director of GM Premium Brands in Australia.
“Australia is the fourth largest market in the world for HUMMER and these sales figures highlight the popularity of the H3 in our market.”
