There’s been a lot of question about the H2 continuing in HUMMER’s portfolio after the departure from GM, though HUMMER spokesperson Nick Richards told PickupTrucks.com that the H2 will be a part of HUMMER’s future, and that other concept vehicles like the H3T would be good indicators of which direction the brand could go in.
“We’re working on ways to change the H2 beyond [its most recent update in] 2008,” said Richards, adding that alternative fuel and diesel powertrains will be considered across HUMMER’s portfolio.
The H2 was going to receive its first major exterior change before plans were scraped in early 2008.
As far as future products, Richards said “The [Hummer] H4 [also known as the HX] and H3T concepts are good examples of where Hummer’s future products could go.” PickupTrucks.com noted that the H3T concept had prioritized off-road ability instead of passenger space.
