With the new 2009 HUMMER H3T about to hit dealerships with a host of different accessory options, we thought we’d start breaking down some of the accessory options. One of the major bed options is the officially licensed HUMMER DiamondBack truck cover.
The covers come in two color/material options, aluminum diamond-plate and LINE-X coated, and are expected to run sell for around $1299 and $1599 respectively. The LINE-X version runs a little higher due to the extra coating, which is the same material as LINE-X spray-in bed liners topped with a layer of DuPont Kevlar to resist fading.
Thanks to the H3’s standard in-bed rail system, installation is drill free and expected to take around 30 minutes. Though it installs and removes with relative ease, the cover also locks tight to secure in bed items and can be opened at either end for hauling certain cargo.
We have a couple of these covers in route, so stay tuned for a complete review over installation and usability in the coming weeks. For more info, you can sign up at DiamondBack’s H3T cover site.
