HUMMER’s CEO Jim Taylor confirmed that the deal to sell the off-road brand to China’s Tengzhong is on track and that discussions are continuing.
“The parties have been in frequent discussions working closely to finalize a definitive agreement,” Taylor told Bloomberg in an emailed statement. “Talks are on track. It would be inappropriate to comment further until an agreement is reached.”
Earlier this week Reuters reported that news on the deal may come as early as this week, though we’re not holding our breath.
